Commercial Checking FAQs

You’ll need to provide your business registration, proof of business address, a certificate of good standing, a government-issued ID, and your EIN (Employer Identification Number). A $100 minimum deposit is required to get started.

A Certificate of Good Standing, also known as a Certificate of Existence or Certificate of Status, is an official document issued by the state government that verifies a business entity is legally registered and authorized to do business in that state, having met all state requirements such as filing annual reports, paying necessary fees, and not facing administrative dissolution. If you do not have one, you can order a Certificate of Good Standing from the Florida SunBiz.

The monthly maintenance fee is $15. There is no minimum balance requirement.

While BayFirst offers the ability to open many accounts online, you will need to stop into a banking center to open a business checking account. Our online account opening form for business accounts speeds up this process and makes opening an account in-person smoother.
