And while it is also one of a handful of states to offer an annual state tax-free weekend, Florida has revamped and expanded its tax-free holidays in 2021 to not be outshone. This is the Sunshine State, after all.  Geared toward post-pandemic, economy-stimulating buying, Florida will offer a new tax-free holiday called Freedom Week this summer, during which you’ll save Florida’s 6% state sales tax plus local tax on eligible purchases.
